A). Taoist sexual and spiritual practices date back 3,000 years. Beginning first with sexual regeneration, then spiritual alchemy, and lastly the contemplative philosophy (meditation). These are referred to as Taoist Tantric practices, This lineage can be traced to records written as far back as 1748, but the oral tradition was handed down centuries before these writings. There are three energies that the Taoist call the Three Treasures. The Three Treasures are our essential life energies that create everything physical, mental, and spiritual.

The first treasure is "Ching" or "Jing". Ching is our sexual and physical energy and is related to Earth Spirit energy. It's physical manifestation in men is the sperm as well as the whole body. Ching's primordial energy is to motivate us to be sexual. It is expressed in the sexual fluids. The emotional expression for Ching is sensuality and giving.

The second treasure is "Qi" or "Chi". This is our breath and vital energy. We could not live even a moment without Qi. It animates the physical body and activates the mental function. It also animates and attracts us to be sexual. The physical expression of Qi is through the mouth, penis, nipples, testicles, perineum and other erogenous areas for men. The emotional expression of Qi is passion, Intimacy and Kindness.

The third treasure is "Shen", the mind and spirit energy. Shen relates to the Heavenly Spirit or Hun. It has to do with our spiritual existence and creates the consciousness of sexuality. Shen is expressed through the eyes, and this is where the saying "the eyes are the windows of the soul" comes from. Both compassion and wisdom are the emotional expressions of Shen.

B). In Tantra the Kundalini is the primary force that comes into play. It unites the male and female within us. Shakti, the feminine residing in the root, and Shiva, the masculine residing in the crown, are joined through the connection of the thrice coiled snake which lies sleeping in the low belly until consciously/energetically awakened. The snake moves through each of the 7 chakras (energy centers) awakening them, energizing each of them until finally connecting them in the form of the double helix, the structure of our most basic DNA, our LifeMap.

C). In Shamanic Breathwork ™ the bellows breath and the attuned music (which is choreographed to lead us through each of the 7 Chakras in succession from root to crown) combine to move us out of our left brain (thinking/logic) and into our bodies via our senses. From there we transcend to Journey into other non-earthly realms to experience non-linear understanding and healing of our woundedness bringing us Wholeness. A Mandala is created at the end of the experience to bring back the gifts/healing we have received and represent it to ourselves through Sacred Artwork.
